For Australian cafes

The items making you money aren't the ones you think

TrueK reads the tills and bills you already have and shows you, in dollars, exactly how much of each item's price you keep. Not a percentage. Not a guess.

What each item keeps you

SAMPLE CAFE · LAST 90 DAYS

The number that matters: what lands in your pocket per serve, before labour. You keep $12.03 of every $18.50 smashed avo, but only $2.75 of a $5.50 croissant. Colour shows how hard each item works for its price. The quiet winners probably aren't the ones you think.

1 October 2026 · card surcharge ban

Every cafe in Australia is about to absorb the surcharge or reprice the menu. Repricing without knowing what each item keeps you is guessing with your money.

The numbers you already have aren't telling you this

Revenue hides the truth

Your top seller by revenue is rarely your top earner. A busy register can still be quietly losing you money on the items people order most.

Costs moved this year

Milk, eggs, coffee: supplier prices shift every few weeks. A margin you worked out in January is already wrong by June.

Spreadsheets go stale

A manual costing spreadsheet is accurate for about a day. After that nobody updates it, and nobody trusts it.

Advice you can't act on

Generic dashboards show you a percentage moved. They don't show you the dollars, or what your options actually are.

How it works

Every item ranked by what it actually keeps you

Recipe cost joined to your real supplier prices, per serve. Not a category-wide estimate, and never an estimate dressed up as a real number.

Bircher muesli$8.40 of $12.00
Smashed avo toast$12.03 of $18.50
Flat white$3.90 of $5.50
Cold brew$4.23 of $6.50
SAMPLE · THIS WEEKFlat white had a strong week: 207 sold, 28 more than last week and about $190 more in the till. Cold brew's cost rose 12% on the last delivery, worth about $38 a week if it holds.

The Keep

One page that reads like it came from your own finance team. The biggest dollar movement of the week, what each item kept you, any supplier price shocks, and one option worth weighing, with the maths shown.

Then the detail underneath for when you want to dig: every item, every price move, plan versus reality, and exactly how solid the numbers are.

Checked by a human before it reaches you. Every week.

This week's Keep

This week's headlineMilk went up 6% on Tuesday's bill. Across 9 menu items that's about $34 a week, or $1,770 a year if it holds.
Bircher muesli · 118 sold$8.40 a bowl
Smashed avo · 176 sold$12.03 a plate
Flat white · 642 sold$3.90 a cup

Real numbers. Your call.

Every insight is specific and quantified: the observation, the dollars, and the trade-off, so you can act on it with confidence. If you're paying more than you should for milk, you'll know exactly how much more, and what it's costing you a year.

"A 50¢ lift on the flat white at current volume is worth ~$5,070/yr. Volume would need to fall 9%to erase it. The decision is yours."

Built to be trusted with your numbers

The AI never does the math

Every dollar figure is calculated by conventional software from your own data, then checked. The AI only helps write the plain English around numbers that are already right.

Read-only, always

TrueK never writes back to your point of sale or your accounting. It can't move money, place orders, or change a bill.

Everything stays in Australia

Your data and all processing stay in Australian regions, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

The AI never sees your name

Prompts carry numbers and findings only. Your cafe's name, your name, and your details never reach the model.

Nothing shown as certain that isn't

An item without a confirmed recipe or a matched invoice says "no cost data". A number that looks wrong is quarantined until verified. Never an estimate dressed up as real.

A human checks every report

During the founding pilot, nothing reaches your inbox without being verified first. You also get the founder directly, not a ticket queue.

Overseas, tools that do this start at US$350 a month and make you run your whole kitchen through them. TrueK is $89, and you don't change how you work.

You get me, not a ticket queue

I'm Daniel. I'm building TrueK because most cafe owners can quote yesterday's takings to the dollar but can't tell you what their best seller actually leaves behind. Not a skill problem: the two systems that hold the answer have never talked to each other. During the founding pilot I personally verify every report before it reaches you, and you can call me when something looks off.
