How TrueK treats your numbers
Short version: the maths is done by plain code on your own data, a human checks everything before it reaches you, and your data lives in Australia.
The AI never works out a number
Every dollar figure TrueK shows you is calculated by ordinary, testable code from your own sales and bills. The AI chooses which of those figures matter and writes the sentence; it may only use numbers the code worked out and handed it, and a second layer of code checks every number in a sentence against one we actually computed. If it cannot be traced, it does not go out.
The numbers come from your own sales and bills
TrueK reads your sales from your point of sale and your supplier bills from your accounting software or the invoices you upload. It never guesses a cost silently: an item with no cost source says "No cost data". Where no bill prices an ingredient yet, you may accept a typical price as an estimate; it is marked with an asterisk wherever it appears, and the first real bill replaces it. A stock-on-hand figure between counts is marked as an estimate the same way. A number that fails our own plausibility checks is shown as "under review" until a human has looked at it.
Your data lives in Australia
Your business data is stored and processed in Australian data centres (Sydney), and any AI processing happens in the Sydney region. One disclosed exception: the emails we send you are delivered by an overseas email provider, so the content of those emails transits overseas systems, as our Privacy Policy sets out. Nothing about your business is shared with other cafes, or sold.
The AI writes from figures, not from who you are
The sentences the AI writes are built from figures and item names. Your cafe name, your name, your email, and your address are not in what it is given for that, and a check on the analysis blocks a request if identity slips in. Reading a picture is different: an invoice you upload, or a photo of a shelf you take while counting stock, is sent to the AI as the image itself, so whatever is printed on it goes too. That is read in Sydney, like everything else.
You can disconnect any time
Your connections are yours to revoke, from TrueK or from the provider directly. Disconnecting stops all syncing immediately.
A human checks every report
During the pilot, nothing reaches your inbox without the founder personally reviewing it. When you reply to a Keep, the person who answers is the person who checked it.
